The Trouble, Tragedy and Turmoil in Kashmir
The unprecedented action of the Indian prime minister Narendar Modi in Kashmir has shocked and distressed the Muslims of Pakistan; we remain confused and confounded. It is a very disturbing news all over the Muslim world. As this is a starkly dictatorial and despotic measure by the head of “a model of secular democracy in Asia” it has been noticed and commented by a large section of the Western media. News from within Kashmir is meagre because of complete clamp down on all the sources of communication. The state has been reduced to a vast prison camp confining the inhabitants to their homes.
