Muslims, the Holy Quran and Election of Trump; Any possible Link?

I was very interested in knowing the results of American Elections 2016 as soon as possible. However not enough to sacrifice my sleep. I went to bed at my usual time with a firm belief that history is going to be created later on in the night; America is going to elect its First Lady President as in many other parts of the planet. On getting up for my Fajr prayers, I hurriedly and enthusiastically reached for my iPhone for the news. My heart sank to one of the lowest levels I can recollect. Doom and gloom took over. Any how I made my ablution to kneel and prostrate in the Durbar-e- Bari Ta’aala. I usually recite a few ayahs from Surah Al Imran. When I came to:
قُلِ اللَّهُمَّ مالِكَ المُلكِ تُؤتِي المُلكَ مَن تَشاءُ وَتَنزِعُ المُلكَ مِمَّن تَشاءُ وَتُعِزُّ مَن تَشاءُ وَتُذِلُّ مَن تَشاءُ ۖ بِيَدِكَ الخَيرُ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ كُلِّ شَيءٍ قَديرٌ
“Say, "O Allah , Owner of Sovereignty, You give sovereignty to whom You will and You take sovereignty away from whom You will. You honor whom You will and You humble whom You will. In Your hand is [all] good. Indeed, You are over all things competent”.    (Shakir; Surah 3/ayah 26)

trust me, I felt as if somebody from within me is explaining “That’s it. This is the Will of God implemented in HIS Eternal Wisdom". Again, believe me I felt an internal sense of tranquility as expected of a Muslim when faced with the Will of Allah Ta'aala Subhaanahoo in all circumstances.

Probably my weakness in my commitment took over very soon. Like most of us, I also feel disappointed and dejected with disturbing questions propping up about the future of my grand children.

How do you feel, after reading the ayah?
